Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
Terex offers Bi-Energy and Genie DC machines which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial situations where the machine needs to travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and flexibility of a diesel powered generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC machine.

Key characteristics which this combination provides is over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing offered by most units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.

Proportional lift controls and drive controls also provide precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. The 48V DC electric drive system offers quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive environments. There are jib boom models available to function with an extra working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates 90 degrees to either side.

Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach provided by this model is second to none in the market.

The diesel engines with articulating booms offer zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These equipment are great for maneuvering in confined locations. Moreover, they provide terrain and grade maneuverability, supreme power and exceptional torque. The diesel engines are quiet in general as well. Most models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on surfaces which are uneven and rough.

High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
