Hazards of Type-G forklifts
Forklifts perform an important part in the operations of warehouses and other businesses. These machinery are capable of lifting and transporting huge loads from one location to another. There are numerous variations on the lift truck. The primary variation is the way in which different units are fueled. "LP" lift trucks are the type which is most popular. They utilize liquid propane. Type "E" forklifts run on electricity and have big rechargeable batteries. Type "D" forklifts are powered by diesel and type "G" operate on gasoline. While all lift trucks, like any piece of heavy machinery, could pose a danger, gasoline powered forklifts pose the most risks.

Fire
Forklifts labelled type G can present a fire hazard. Gas lift trucks are not made with the same rigorous standards. Gas leaks are the biggest cause of fire due mainly to gas leaks and also escaped gas fumes. This can result driving on extremely rough terrain and from normal wear or from accidents. These circumstances pose a danger and can cause fire. Hence, a typical Type G forklift should never be used in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed not acceptable. For example, these types of forklifts should not be used around explosives or dangerous chemicals.

Explosion
Gas forklifts also pose a risk of explosion, as do diesel and liquid propane based lift trucks. A type of lift truck that operate on gasoline can explode as a result of a serious mishap in circumstances where an ignition source and a gasoline leak are both present. An explosion could take place when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Type G forklifts pose a serious inhalation danger because of toxic fumes. Gasoline fumes could be deadly in high concentrations. Fumes can result from the exhaust itself or from gasoline leaks. Therefore, a Type G forklift is really not recommended for any setting that is poorly ventilated. The exhaust will present a serious hazard in enclosed places. This particular type of forklift must be utilized with caution when operated in close proximity to people.
