Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A type of machinery which can carry loads which are roughly 30,000 pounds is a forklift. A forklift is also referred to as a counterbalance. Despite being sturdy and large, these industrial equipment still bear the possible chance of accident or crash. To be able to be really safe, be sure to have operators put on the right seat belt inside the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are also on board. We all know that seat belts can save lives in case of an accident.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The kinds of seat belts that could extend both over the lap and across the upper body are the three-point seat belts. These belts provide an added degree of safety by protecting your body. They are available in both bench-seat and buckle-seat styles. The 3-point seat belts are available in either retractable and non-retractable kinds.
The majority of modern vehicles available provide retractable seat belts. Though non-retractable types increase safety, retractable kinds provide much more comfort. It is impossible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
The kind of seat belt which only extends over the lower portion of the body is a two-point lap belt. The majority of lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and then the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the type which force forklift operators to wear a seat belt. These kinds of seat belts have a micro-switch attached that enables an alarm to sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is unsecured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band styles.
