Inventor Jerome Case founded the business of CASE within Racine, when he started the construction of threshing machinery. Later the company gained recognition globally as the first builder of steam engines for its agricultural application. Case merged with the company New Holland during the year 1999 and together they became CNH Global. This corporation became responsible for marketing some of the world's leading brands of agricultural and construction machinery.
