Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is used for lifting and lowering loaded pallets from high storage areas. This particular kind is suitable for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires that make maneuvering really easy.
Generally, the operator of this particular type of forklift stands up inside a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: two in the front, and one in the rear. This configuration allows for easy and fast maneuvering. There are some versions of these forklifts which come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment can pivot to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the entire machine. The sit-down model usually has four wheels.
An electric engine is utilized to power many narrow aisle forklifts. Electric-powered machinery do not produce exhaust fumes and are quiet, making them the suitable option for closed areas such as retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. However, the diesel version is not suggested for indoor use because it could be noisy and produce exhaust.
