A lift truck to be a successful model should be built strong to last the working conditions for many hours of use. It should be able to transport cargo quickly and effectively as well. The equipment should also be both ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
The Yale powertrain is reliable and rugged. It has to be powerful enough to always provide incredible strength through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with really tough shafts and robust gears. The engine, transmission, drive and steer axle are all isolated in order to lessen vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
Mazda's LP engine and GM's gas engines utilize cast iron blocks to promote long life. These machinery provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that needs minimum repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats which lessen wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Inside the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio offers excellent torque. Remarkable fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on nearly all machines. It features gears which are 15 percent stronger and shafts that give resistance when driving on rough environment. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of previous packs. Lastly, there is electronic inching available that adjusts automatically in order to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system uses a computer-controlled power reversal which extends tire life, minimizes shock loading and increases durability. Also, the auto deceleration feature reduces both brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
Designed for extra strength, the drive axle features its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are basically maintenance free and entirely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
To protect the steer cylinder for debris and damage, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods that could add extra durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. As well, cast ductile iron axle reduces wear and increases toughness.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included many safety features and ergonomic features. These machines would handle tough environments, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the length of their shift.
