John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the trip. He started a partnership with two close friends when they purchased a small metal fabrication business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, with an initial crew of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Many components of the basic design elements of that very first machine are still being integrated into the present product
